Competition fever breaks out in Mrs Iseli's block of flats. They scratch for all she's worth and she promptly wins a cultural trip to London, the highlight of which is playing the timpani in a symphony orchestra. She takes her spirited neighbour Schruppatelli with her. Anyone who knows Elvira Iseli knows that this trip to the unknown big city may not go entirely smoothly.
