Fortress F-99 is accompanied by Fortress C-01 to a planet infamous for its intense gravity, and Jet meets Captain Macchiato, who once knew Jet's missing brother, Zack. However, another encounter by the Phantom Knight raises Jet's tension to the boiling point, creating a dangerous chain of events.
