The mayor is happy that the ship has arrived and the cargo is being unloaded. The mayor's wife decorates the tree and the children steal beer for the elves. They receive a gift from the elves, and Karoline's stove breaks down completely. The mayor, his wife, Karoline, and Severinsen all end up in the attic looking for elves and see Mette and Mads appear dressed in elf costumes. Finally, it is Christmas Eve.
