Mom is practicing Christmas carols when Mads and Mette hear the whistle. They go to the store, where Severinsen has run out of flour. Before he reaches the warehouse, the baker is standing there, wanting to buy flour like other customers. Karoline also comes looking for something. The milkman catches the street boy in the middle of his crazy antics and asks him to help. Mads and Mette go up to the attic, which the mayor sees, but soon forgets when everyone gets flour.
