On her 26th birthday, rookie detective Izumi Sakuragi is assigned to reopen a cold case from a year ago: the murder of a university lecturer. The case was closed after the suspect died, but a year later, the murder weapon is found, suggesting an accomplice or a new suspect. As Izumi investigates the victim's lab, she discovers his cruel habit of digging up people's secrets.
