Munch decides for once to defend a culprit: Paul Sauveur shot a young man who came to rob his veterinary clinic. The man wants to plead self-defense, but Munch soon discovers that he hasn't told him everything... Meanwhile, Bellanger, alerted by Joseph whose girlfriend is hospitalized following taking an oral contraceptive, is thinking about building a class action on this public health issue.
