When Cologne's chief detective Marie Gabler arrives in Hengash, she looks into astonished faces. Nobody expected them! As the new service group leader, she is supposed to turn the sleepy precinct into an orderly and functioning criminal police station. What her transfer and the separation from her husband Klaus have to do with it, she prefers to keep to herself. Marie is astonished to discover that her village colleagues like it rather cozy: Police Chief Heino Fuss loves club life and, with the help of childminder Heike Schäffer, takes care of his son Otmar as a single father. And commissioner candidate Jennifer Dickel prefers to train with her service horse for the equestrian squadron.
