Fearing that Marie will uncover the truth about her birth, Min-bo tells Ki-bun that he plans to withdraw from the experiment. Poong-ju reaches out, hoping to change his mind. To push the project forward, Ki-sik forms a new team, dividing them into Poong-ju's research team and his own clinical support team. Meanwhile, Eun-kyung, furious to learn that Si-ra made her mother pay for the costly renovations while collecting the rent herself, storms over to confront her.
