It's Addison's birthday and her best friend Minnie is throwing her a party at an old chalet bungalow that she has rented for the night. Desperate for Addison to get over her ex-boyfriend, Caleb, Minnie invites a hot but mysterious man named Damien to Addison's party. Meanwhile, Popo is trying hard to keep Addison safe within her sights, fearing an ominous reading that Addison received from a fortune-teller when she was a baby...

After trapping Addison and everyone she loves into his realm, Death lays the rules of the realm to them. In the remaining 5 hours till the end of Addison's birthday, they have to play a series of 5 games or risk death. When Addison, Bella, Caleb, Minnie and Popo realise that there is no other way out of this eerie house, they begrudgingly play the first game - pass the parcel...

Led by magical orbs containing riddles that serve as clues, the group runs around the house looking for the next clue...

Bella saves Popo and Addison when she succeeds in disarming the explosive. As Addison, Bella and Popo continue the treasure hunt to look for the remaining orbs, Caleb rejoins them. Bella notices something amiss with Caleb. Unknown to everyone, Death has kidnapped Caleb and has impersonated him in order to spoil Addison's chances of winning the games. The next clue leads the group to the garden where they start digging mounds of dirt...

Enraged that Death's heart is softening for Addison and seeing Death having second thoughts about completing the games, War releases the bound up Caleb. Death's impersonation of Caleb is out of the bag. Addison, Popo and Caleb play the next game. In the dining room, Caleb is tied and held against the wall, with an apple above his head. Addison is blindfolded and with verbal instructions from Popo...

Death takes Addison aside and reveals their past life story to her. He shares about his past life as Damien, a house boy in this same mansion, where he fell in love with a maid named Ida, who was Addison in that life time. When Ida betrayed Damien and chose the Master over him, he was overcome with anger and grief. He poisoned Ida and the Master before finally taking his life, swearing to take revenge on Ida and make her suffer for eternity...

In the fourth game, Addison and Popo are each tied to bags of poison. They are asked a series of questions and for every lie someone spews, the poison is injected into them. Addison realises that only one person can survive this game and she starts lying to harm herself, in an attempt to save Popo. But Popo does the same to let Addison win, causing the poison to be injected into Popo's blood...

War tries to get Death out of the way so he can get rid of Addison. He conjures a prison to trap Death until he can kill Addison. In the final game of hide and seek, Addison hides from War to save her life. Death escapes the prison that War has conjured. A tense chase ensues but Addison manages to find a small hiding spot, an underground tunnel behind the mansion...
