Kate and Ian are lifelong diving fanatics and after getting married, they visited Bonaire and immediately started to plan for the future. Their dream is to have a beachfront home with direct access to this southern Caribbean island's beautiful diving reefs, but that dream is quickly scuttled when the couple discovers that mortgage restrictions in Bonaire limits their purchase to cash-only. The couple knows that spending too much of their life savings means they will have to remain in California part time and continue to work, but the temptation of a savings-devouring beachfront home may prove to be too much. In the end, the battle between budget and location will determine whether Kate and Ian can sink or swim in Bonaire.
