Caius expels Edissa from the palace. Jesus gathers the apostles and warns that from now on he will give them authority and power over all demons. Magdalene learns of the evil that Petronius had done to Barabbas in the past. Simon Zelote's brother faces Malchus. Jesus tells his apostles not to go to places where the people are not Jewish. Mary Magdalene quarrels with Petronius. Barrabas questions the attitude of Malco, who is furious. Mary is presented to Pilate. The apostles are impressed and frightened by the words of Jesus. Ephraim goes wrong and says not to call Jesus. Herodias refuses to deliver the remains of John the Baptist to John. Edissa enters a wagon to try to enter the palace.
