Andy is furious to find Kathy hiding a letter with the date of Jack's trial. He is shocked further when he overhears Kathy telling Bernice that Jack has told her to sell the farm and asked her to consider being legal guardian to his kids. Andy tries to get in to the Remand Centre to see Jack but cannot. On his way home he meets Cain and confesses to starting the fire. Diane has words with Tricia when she asks for her old job at The Woolpack and Alan is offered the job of permanent restaurant critic for the Hotten Courier.
